The Doubt has been playing around the Portland, Oregon area for the past seven years and it’s all seemingly been leading up to the release of their upcoming album, it’s All a Joke, due to release in spring 2024. It may have been released sooner, had Kaleb not been hit by a car on his bike in November of 2022. Somehow, the band and the record was better off for it.

The Doubt is not interested in any one particular sound, or mimicking any other artists. Instead, they want to play what they want to play, whatever that may sound like. It’s all about serving the song itself and worrying about the rest later.

As a result, it’s All a Joke is a dynamic soundscape, full of misdirection and fun surprises - made to make the listener rock out, laugh, cry, and perhaps consider their own place in this mad world we live in.
